I recently took a two month weed break which I am actually so proud of myself for 😮‍💨 now I am definitely using it less desperately/ habitually

Dude.. totally. I haven’t smoked for 9 days straight now, and I believe that is the longest break I’ve taken since I started smoking like 8-9 years ago. I‘ve tried to take breaks before but never really committed. It’s kind of like double dutch in that I just had to wait for the right moment to decide to jump in, and now I’m grooving. I’m not setting a goal because I don’t want to disappoint myself if I do smoke but am going to see just how far I can take it.

By just having some time to myself to smoke a j alone and vibe in my room. Have not done this in years, didn’t smoke for a while either (classic reasons, anxiety etc) but it’s been fun to see myself as more grown up since I last did this. kind of feels like convening with a past self and being like - yes life is weird but that means that anything goes and that’s great, I’m having fun 🫶🤷‍♀️

ugly/normal/weird-looking people in music
I feel like growing up every band or musician besides super huge pop stars was just normal looking. Not weird in a cool way and not perfectly curated. Just actually weird or actually normal. I miss that. Everyone is too hot now. To quote Silver Jews, "What's with all the handsome grandsons In these rock band magazines? What have they done with the fat ones? The bald and the goateed?" We need more normals in music.
