i often feel guilty about going back to the same places instead of trying something new, but like fuck it!!! foster love for the things you already enjoy! let it be of comfort to you!!!! (there’s the beach i go to and it’s my favourite thing ever and perfect and today these puppies i’ve seen at the beach before came up to me and my friend again and it was really really beautiful …… adore the things you already have as much as you possibly can!!)

it is a very weird feeling to visit a new state, one even thousands of miles away from where you grew up and you still find bits and pieces in the scenery and have a cozy feeling… like ahh yes, the trees seem the same, there is still random billboards lit up on the highway, people smile in the grocery store back at me …. somehow, someway, i’m right where i should be. the world follows me. i will never truly leave what i call my home, it’s all right here with me, following me, and guiding me. “I want to go home, I want to go home, I want to go home, but what I mean, what I am grasping for, is not a place, it’s a feeling. I want to go back, but back where?”

a weekend back in my hometown did this for me ! upon arrival i was like wow i am doing so well in comparison to how i was when i was living here as a teenager. and after three days i am listening to philadelphia shoegaze with a pit in my stomach and an oppressive sense that i may never leave this place………

Really helped me see my hometown through fresh new eyes, and appreciate things about it I took for granted! It also made me feel like I could bring all of me that has developed since I left the city back into it instead of purely regressing into my teenage self🥳

AND THERES A LOT OF MOOSE! it’s really awesome and moose are really awesome and it’s FREE! 1 billion/10 recommend
