If I had a favorite non-real-genre of book, it would be books that have an illustrated family tree in the first pages. One Hundred Years of Solitude is the prime example of what I'm referring to. I just know that when I open a book and it sets the table with a tree, it's going to be extremely my shit. I want to know about the generations, I want to refer back to it while reading, I want to feel grounded in the knowledge that everyone is somehow related and connected.
