It’s fascinating when this also holds true for other languages. Umbrella in Spanish has always made me laugh as it’s paraguas, or para-aguas, which means “for water..” which is even funnier because it’s not describing what it is but instead what it’s intended usage is. “Oh what is that thing for?” “Oh, uh…it’s for water?”
