moving into this place a few years back, I was very worried about the noise that would come from the train tracks just a road away from us. i thought they would disturb my peace and wake me up, but instead it does the opposite. I love the sound of the horn going by. it is somehow comforting and does not wake me up at night. When I hear it, I know Iโ€™m gonna miss it when I move eventually. kind of like I do with the mourning doves from back home.

I live not even 5 min away from a train station and hearing the horn later at night is my favorite. People are going somewhere and living life even if Iโ€™m at home!!

The train horns, the police sirens, the howling Cyotes, the chatter of birds, hooting of owls and the screeching of small bats. I will always miss these sounds if I ever do lose them. They help me sleep but the more I sleep the more I miss them, a nice little paradox to dift me into slumber ๐ŸŒŒ

Purely a vibe but one I am thankful for experiencing nightly. Some joys are just small enough to make all the difference. Thereโ€™s something comforting about hearing the sound at the same time every night. Almost like a far away friend that routinely checks in on you.

You don't always have to be doing something productive or creative. Sometimes it is okay to just take a step back and exist.

I've posted about this once before and will post about it again, I'm sure. One of the things that I have noticed since getting letterboxed last year is how afraid people are to admit they like something. that new animated k-pop movie on netflix made me notice this again when three of the people that I have on there prefaced their reviews with a variant of "i consumed this ironically, but it was actually kind of good..." ...LAME... and a little bit pathetic to see tbh. We really need to remember that you only live once. just fucking enjoy the stuff you like, and stop asking the world for permission and acceptance to do so! being so afraid of what others will think when you post a review under a kid's movie is more cringe than admitting you like a kid's movie.
