took a thirty minute walk (or so) to watch casablanca the day after a snowstorm. felt romantic (although i almost died, do NOT wear a skirt in the middle of winter)
it was cute seeing all the couples yesterday but it was also so comforting to have myself and treat myself to something i enjoy.
casablanca was really good, too! i’d never watched it before and a 1930’s theatre was the perfect place to do so for the first time :)

I’m seeing The Brutalist at my local independent theater (❤️❤️❤️the Mayfair Theater in Ottawa❤️❤️❤️❤️) and I’m all dressed and done up even though I have 35 minutes until I have to leave. I’m just so excited!!
I’m a member so I get $4 off tickets and this theater is so so so lovely and the walk is also so so so lovely. I think I’m going to hang out at the bar beside the theater after the movie!
Take yourself on a date! It gets less scary I promise.

going to see challengers on my own today! and i'm very excited. i'm someone who actually doesn't mind going to the cinema alone. i've done it so many times over the years, and totally do not get people who say it's sad. if i lived somewhere where i could go to late night screenings on my own, i would do it all the time.
sometimes i end up making a friend, sometimes i just get to sit and get sucked in and then i get to leave and choose my favorite place to eat. it's a nice way to spend a day on your own, and i think more people (especially people in their 20s) should take themselves on little dates.
