You could spend you time doing anything. If you don’t like football, why bother?
Is it really American culture to watch the sport playoffs just so you don’t feel left out when your coworkers talk about the advertisements and commercials the next day?
Is it really the football that brings you together with friends and family, or the fact that you ordered a pizza and made a special dip?
Every year that I make it out alive, I find new ways to exercise my free will and avoid falling into the trap of an NPC life.
Not watching the Super Bowl is an easy and effective way to acknowledge that I’m in control of my own destiny, and I don’t need to do things just because everyone else is.

The desk I work from and make all my music at is technically our dining room, and is 3 feet from the couch and 6 feet from the kitchen, but we’re fortunate to have amazing views like this.
It smelled amazing at this moment too, so we took the dog for a walk.

As someone on the spectrum, I ask that you learn about autism and its effects on a person living with it. And I don’t mean reading about it on Wikipedia, I mean reading about people’s lived experience.
“If you meet someone with autism, you’ve met one person with autism.“
At the very least, know that not everyone is “a little bit autistic” and every autistic person’s experience is unique. So you’ll never really understand it completely, but you could learn to support someone in your life who has it.
