SOOOO GOOD!!! it’s about the famous volcanologist couple Katia and Maurice Krafft and their shared passion for volcanoes. mainly made up of archival footage from their careers (i wanna say 70s-80s) and honestly it’s some of the most gorgeous cinematography i’ve ever seen in my damn life. like it’s all just amazing. it’s on disney+!
I haven’t watched too many documentaries but this one had me in a trance. It’s crazy how those two consistently risked their lives for their love of volcanoes and some of the most breathtaking footage i’ve ever seen
Seeing volcanoes up close like this is mind-blowing. Watching people pursue their passions, no matter the risk is a gift. Uses 16-millimeter footage and other material from this couple's archive. Stunning visuals.
and then when I was four I watched a documentary where these volcanologists are doing field work and the volcano erupts and they’re horribly burned and killed and I was immediately like ohhh got it okay so. no way in HELL.
still haven’t even watched Fire Of Love bc what if it makes me
a) remember more about that documentary
b) worse, feel I missed out on pursuing my one true passion.
mum called to tell me about this today, but it’s basically a 24/7 livestream that goes for 20 DAYS that films moose migrating north in sweden!!!!! it’s from a bunch of different camera angles, and even when there’s no moose it’s still lovely to watch. i did freak when i saw my first moose though. AND THERES A LOT OF MOOSE! it’s really awesome and moose are really awesome and it’s FREE! 1 billion/10 recommend
i have like a bazillion collection of things (eg jellycats, wishing stones, goosebumps books), but my ceramic frogs are by far the collection i adore the most. i will NEVER take up an opportunity to buy a ceramic frog. LOOK HOW AWESOME
