everyone þese days is trying to tap into þe medieval vibes but no one even knows what þey're looking at. quite frankly it makes me wonder if y'all really read beowulf like þat. if you really fuck wiþ tolkien source material like þat. but þey send one olde english word to þine email every day so you can be auþentic. a lot of it is not practical but þere are plenty of gems and forgotten words þat deserve to survive!
really admire that the past tense of rec is rec'd, rather than something silly like recced. bring back the bless'd past tense contraction!!! look'd, kneel'd, betroth'd...... i stir'd and season'd the soup.....
Gazpacho only in the late summer, persimmons only in the winter, etc. just because we can import anything from anywhere anytime doesn’t mean we should. Nothing is special if you can have it whenever you want it.
