Peruvian Nikkei food which is a mashbup of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine due to the Japanese population there. Incredible ceviche with super exciting flavors and nothing on the menu was over $20. Staff was super friendly too, and the chef is Peruvian himself.
The last time I felt this stoked about how yummy the food was at a restaurant, I was in CDMX. Majorly recommend for anyone in the LA area.

Lucky enough to live around the corner from this legendary spot. It was set to close in 2019, but for reasons I have yet to discover, remains open. You simply cannot beat a plate of tried and true huevos rancheros for under $10 in this city. One of the waiters reminds me of my papa.

i used to be such a hater, and of course there are ways it still shines through, but it’s exhausting to think everything everyone else does is embarrassing all the time. like yeah crocs are cringe, but that’s kind of the point? if it’s not hurting anyone, if it’s just someone being happy and enjoying something, why be a hater??

dubbed such because my ex was allergic to like all of the ingredients in it, and after breaking up, it was one of the first things i made.
it’s just cut up cucumbers, tomatoes, and avocado in a salad bowl with garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil, and ungodly amounts of lime juice, highly recommend
