Our brains were not meant to computer gaze for this many hours a day. We were never wired to know all of the things happening across the globe. Feeling overwhelmed? Go outside. Touch grass. Water. Concrete. Dirt. Something.
Maybe spice it up with a little activity. Take pictures of cool signs you see. Bend down and look at an ant. Find a John Wilson-ass quirk in the dynamic world around you. Your brain and body will like it.
Plant your feet. Take a deep breath. Wiggle your toes. Close your eyes. Feel the sun. Listen carefully. Cry a little. Play with your hair. Write it down. Ask why. Be human! Smile! Or don’t! Just be!
I write 100 words of fiction a day; it's usually the best part of my day (even if the writing is awful). It gets the dark gremlins out of my head for a bit. With how meaningless corporate jobs are, I need something creative.
