I honestly stumbled across this album a little late after itās release but nonetheless iām so glad I found it. Very reminiscent of the 90s indie rock/slow-core music scene, which will forever be my favorite. So if youāre looking for some new-ish bands kinda like Yo La Tengo, Sparklehorse, Acetone, etc. youāll 100% enjoy this album. Or if youāve already heard it, iād love to know which song is your favorite!

šµIām a little late to the glaive boat, and it took a bit, but im on board now. Because heās kind of undefined genre-wise, thereās a lot of room for variety, which brings you songs like minnesota is a place that exists (or im nothing thats all i am) that are stupid-fun pop punk songs, and then songs like astrid that are a little more traditional hyperpop. Then thereās his recent side project? EP released under a different name Ovine Hall, that embraces more of a raw distorted sound. This oneās probably my favorite to-date collection of glaives songs. Itās nothing long or major, but its all solid.

Okayyy hello another one of my fav songs!! I am trying to be more purposeful with my reviews from here on out.. I got recommended this song through le algorithm. In like 2022, I started listening to more shoegaze, dream pop, indie rock, idk what ever this genre is (genre is marketing tool anyways). So I'm glad this song made it into my feed. 2020-2023 worse yrs everā¦ I got to listen to music all day at my office job, so I found a lot of good music. I listen to sad music when I'm sad, and I was realyyy sad š¤£Crazy Town made me happy:) Definitely a feel good song for me, it never gets old! I fuck with Velocity Girl šÆšÆI love that around this time in the 90s small bands were getting picked up by college radio stations (which ppl should listen to more often) Sub Pop was also in its prime, and Velocity Girl got picked up by them. The album that this song is on, Copacetic, is spectacular and was recorded in less than a week!!! P good for a debut alb šš»In most songs it's the guitar that really gets me before the vocals or anything else. I like that the guitar sounds like ācleanā shoegaze. Its sounds so epic to me the melody is also catchy and simple yet it gets the job donešš»Her vocals are so soft and sweet šļøits also easy for me to sing in the car (bad singer) Canāt help the urge to jump up and down and go crazyyyyyy while listeningšBrings me joy<3 Honestly thats all I got for this review it just sounds awesome nothing specific..š¤ŖAlbum art also goes crazyyy fuzzy colors and genius text placement?... I found her at a family gathering about 7-8 years ago. The previous lady who was taking care of her & a colony of feral cats moved away, leaving her without a consistent food source. She hung around me the whole day, soaking up the sun from a lawn chair while occasionally stealing some of my mac & cheese. That day I ended up taking her home, now sheās my whole world. Since then, iāve started studying all things cat (especially feline behavior), working at animal shelters, occasionally fostering, & volunteering at other animal shelters + different pet retention services. Sheās taught me so much & has given me the motivation to be better everyday. I donāt know what iād do or be without her.
