What i do is that i screen my RECs and post them, when i get asked where they can check the “posts”, the only answer is “it’s a private digital notebook” but for the people dear to me get a direct link and they choose to join or not.

Hard agree, idk about y'all but it reminds me of early MySpace in a VERY good way. Probably needs some additional features but I think the future of the net is 1) small 2) scalable 3) exclusive and with a little fee to remove advertisers and shareholders 4) cooperatively owned 5) based on forming real connections organically, so no algorithm

st9n I wish I did. Substack gives off a very modern-vibe version of this to a degree. BeReal is sort of like that for Instagram but is limited in its format to feel really sparse. Hopefully some people here can crowdsource it. I miss Stumbleupon, it was a bit like that 15 years ago.
