I love lit mags. Find new writers, find weird writing that big presses aren’t going to publish, find good stuff.

if you've ever wanted to be dialed in on the pulse of culture, i would recommend reading lit mags in general. want to know about new and up and coming authors, niche film, art galleries, various ephemera: lit mags (viva print media etc etc!!) but specifically college lit mags, whether that be "college review" type poetry or alternative magazines, i would recommend extremely. they're definitely more "rough" around the edges than your typical n+1 but it feels so deeply authentic and wonderful and the rate at which you can find new things is so much higher because no one involved is getting paid so there's a ton of freedom there. anyway, just look up any college and lit mag or publications to the search to find them. BONUS: they are usually free to read in a way that mainstream lit mags are not

I love to really engage with a literary mag’s works and assess the vibes for at least a handful of issues before I consider submitting anything. my two current favorites are Paloma on Substack and Angel Food 🕊️

particularly the paris review, copped a samul delaney shirt. but if you ever want to support literary arts but don’t want magazines you don’t read you can pay in exposure (also usually like $30) and get whatever lit mags tote, shirt, or magnet or something. also make you infinitely cooler than everyone else

When working from home. I’m not going to get any more or less work done so I might as well spend time with my pups.

Impulse buy. This pedal is everything I’ve been looking for. It’s three levels of floating in space, none of which give off unintentional scary tones. Can’t stop playing with it.
