Amazing whole in the wall Cuban restaurant. My husband and I ate there the last morning of our honeymoon before driving back home in that dreamy vacation haze of “but what if we moved here? ” I’m constantly chasing the high of that coffee Cubano.

my favorite cafe in manhattan…. perfect croissant sandwiches and Italian pastries. staff are so friendly and awesome, music always in great taste, ample seating great for chatting or studying. all reasonably priced! Just perfect if you’re uptown

I dont remember the food in detail, I know I got some crepes and a coffee and it was good enough, which is a funny way to start rec’ing a restaurant in the middle of nowhere western MA but bear with me. What really captured our interest there was what surrounded us - tons of old things piled high. It’s a breakfast place in the middle of a carefully curated antique collectors store. We sat directly under a canoe, mounted to the ceiling. There were shelves of fly fishing books, cupboards of tea pots and cups, an old vermont castings wood stove burning outside, next to a half rebuilt tree house. Mirrors, camp signs, hunting figurines, and way more filled the walls inside and carved a path to the wood burner outside. The owner offered a wealth of history on any item we asked about, and flipped us through some pages in a book that showed off his old restaurant in eastern NY. We left with 2 beautiful little rocking chairs, one for each of our kids.

tomorrow PI.FYI launches to the public this project is the result of thousands of hours spent coding everything from scratch after I got laid off six months ago no thiel-bucks or weirdo outsider money, just a pure desire to make something fun and true to Perfectly Imperfect’s day one goal of helping people find new things from real human beings, not algorithms or AI a pure labor of love that I’ve been quietly plotting for two years and it’s completely self-funded from my (rapidly) dwindling savings account so thank you for coming along for this weird ride 🫶 let's see where it goes
