I dont remember the food in detail, I know I got some crepes and a coffee and it was good enough, which is a funny way to start rec’ing a restaurant in the middle of nowhere western MA but bear with me. What really captured our interest there was what surrounded us - tons of old things piled high. It’s a breakfast place in the middle of a carefully curated antique collectors store. We sat directly under a canoe, mounted to the ceiling. There were shelves of fly fishing books, cupboards of tea pots and cups, an old vermont castings wood stove burning outside, next to a half rebuilt tree house. Mirrors, camp signs, hunting figurines, and way more filled the walls inside and carved a path to the wood burner outside. The owner offered a wealth of history on any item we asked about, and flipped us through some pages in a book that showed off his old restaurant in eastern NY. We left with 2 beautiful little rocking chairs, one for each of our kids.
