Everything started when this video popped up. I thought it was a parody until I looked at the comments. The comments in this video are things like "I find it hard when fellow Mers tell me how โluckyโ I am to have a professional pirate to gig with. Itโs not luck, I found him through hard work and pay him well. I also have fellow Mers telling me how โluckyโ I am to have a pool that allows me to train in my Monofin. Againโฆhard, hard work and a lot of time to build up that working relationship"
...like, people are investing time and money in being mermaids. Look at this mermaid posing . Apparently she saved for a whole year to get the tail, besides "studying character design and color just to make sure it was perfect" according to her. Fascinating. I didn't know this was a thing with adults ๐
