when i was tiny i had a dress to sleep in covered in pictures of a girl is some sort of fantasy world. It was light pink. it was shiny and some how that reflected in the texture itself. when u touched the one side that everyone could see the fabric felt cold and smooth like slipping off the edge of a metallic slide. the other side where the repeated imagery looked grainy felt the way it look too. it was course reminding me of a stuck zipper being pulled. neither of these feelings were truly magical but when u folded the fabric of the dress in half or pinched it from the inside the silky outer surface glided against itself while i could easily grip from the rougher side. To me it felt like how imagine a marble feels gliding across a pool of water ir maybe glass. im not sure exactly how to describe the feelinf but it felt calm and safe. i loved wearing that dress so everynight i could dough the 2 sides together while drifting off to sleep. in fact i still have the dress which i nicknamed my tickler as a kid so parents continued to call it that. i think this was probably my first identifiable stim toy. its wild my mom and dad never saw or wondered.

🐞Hard to tell if its a real memory or an implanted one but I think it was my 2nd birthday party and I had a stye and a cake shaped like a ladybug and I was going down a slide with my friends.

😃Disney Channel was at its peak, I couldn’t wait to grow up and have a husband. I discovered the internet and fell in love with it — and then came my first experiences with grooming. Summer was gentle and full of life; I went rollerblading every day. Christmas had that distinct smell of tinsel you hang on Christmas trees — a very specific kind of plastic — and once, it snowed so hard the schoolyard was completely covered. We built a maze in the snow, and the walls were taller than us. I had a portable CD player that was basically my best friend, I had beautiful dresses that I loved like I love my best friends, I dreamed of being one of the Totally Spies, and I quoted SpongeBob way too often

i was a normal child.
i sent a pic of it to my mom and she said “oh… yeah, i remember talking to you about that one...” lol. sadly she does not remember anything about the piece itself, and neither do i.

❄️and when the lights hit the snow at night. wow as someone who has not seen snow much this is a totally underrated phenomenon. only thing that makes winter weather not depressing.and snow in the city wow.
