Disney Channel was at its peak, I couldn’t wait to grow up and have a husband. I discovered the internet and fell in love with it — and then came my first experiences with grooming. Summer was gentle and full of life; I went rollerblading every day. Christmas had that distinct smell of tinsel you hang on Christmas trees — a very specific kind of plastic — and once, it snowed so hard the schoolyard was completely covered. We built a maze in the snow, and the walls were taller than us. I had a portable CD player that was basically my best friend, I had beautiful dresses that I loved like I love my best friends, I dreamed of being one of the Totally Spies, and I quoted SpongeBob way too often

Discovering new music as a teenager through those late-night bumps felt like uncovering hidden treasures from a world I never knew existed because our family didn't have a computer I could hop onto at any willing time. The way they engaged with us made the network feel personal because it didn’t treat us like passive viewers. Instead of just putting things on TV and calling it a day, they acknowledged that obscure media existed and wanted to share it with us. It felt intentional, like they were curating something special, and that’s what made every night an experience worth tuning in for.

I’m on such a nostalgia trip at the moment and recently scanned some old notebooks for inspiration — this one is from around 2004(?) and mostly features stickers collected from the show W.I.T.C.H.
Does anyone else remember it?! I loved it so much when I was small — me and my friends used to each pretend to be one of the characters on the playground (Will was my favourite), and I had a little toy of their amulet. But I never see anyone mention it! I read the comic and watched the TV show, I’m going to try and find the latter online and see if it still holds up!

There's a one hundred and four days of summer vacation and school comes along just to end it So the annual problem for our generation is finding a good way to spend it... Like maybe...!! Building a rocket or fighting a mummy or climbing the Eiffel tower Discovering something that doesn't exist (hey!) or giving a monkey a shower Surfing tidal waves creating nanobots or locating Frankenstein's brain (it's over here!) Finding a dodo bird painting a continent or driving their sister insane (Phineas!)
As you can see there's a whole lot of stuff to do before school starts this fall (come on, perry!) So stick with us 'cause Phineas and Ferb are gonna do it all Just stick with us 'cause Phineas and Ferb are gonna do it all (Mom, Phineas and Ferb are doing a title sequence!!)

We’ve known each other since kindergarten, we grew up together, and even though I wasn’t always kind to her in middle school, she never held it against me. We started to feel sad around the same time, and each of us became the other’s refuge. She has always encouraged me and given me the strength to do slightly crazy things; when we were fifteen, we’d find ourselves standing in the middle of a field at one in the morning, in the dark, just because I was feeling down. She’s taken care of me after I hurt myself. I watched her lose herself in her last relationship. She’s the only family I see at Christmas. We can laugh for ten minutes just by looking at each other
Right now I’m on holiday in my hometown, and I can go see her whenever I want. We meet at night, smoke cigarettes, and watch movies. She takes better care of me than my boyfriend ever does
A few days ago, we spent a wonderful morning in her garden, in the sun, with fresh air all around us. For the first time in years, life almost felt pleasant. The colors of the plants and flowers were so beautiful, and we didn’t even talk that much—we just ate some fruit (which she washed for me). I told her about my favorite movie and she watched it that same night; she told me about her favorite fruit and I bought it for her the next day
I don’t care about men, because she exists. I love her with all my heart, and I want to take her to the beach
