iconic strip club in los feliz/east hollywood (actually it's a bikini bar which means it's more burlesque and they're allowed to serve alcohol). it's small and divey and the dancers pick their own music from a jukebox. courtney love used to dance there!!!
i went with some friends a couple sundays ago and it was one of my favorite nights in la. one of the dancers was doing magic tricks and another climbed to the top of the pole and hung like a crucifix while dressed as a bunny (it was easter sunday)

friendly people, fun drinks, community and subculture driven, you can hear the DJ play Blue Monday and so many gritty gems. much nicer than a standard club
They are so worth your time and - if you play an instrument - your music! there’s this lovely one that runs fortnightly in kings cross called el rocco that you should check out if you’re ever in Sydney or in the mood for a sing. Best way to spend a Wednesday arvo without spending money!
+ the cash only bar is a relic in todays society
