brandy milk punch is a traditional new orleans cocktail that tastes like eggnog, but less thick. it’s wonderful at christmas and during those warm winter months in the south. the recipe is simple: 1 cup of milk, 2oz of brandy, 1oz of simple syrup, a dash of nutmeg for garnish, and ice! some people add a little vanilla extract but i don’t.
but an easter brandy milk punch is even easier! born on easter day 2018 in new york, the brainchild of two hot and broke expats from nola, the easter brandy milk punch is the perfect drink for any spring day.
recipe:
1 cup of milk
2oz of brandy
strawberry nesquik to taste
combine in a cocktail shaker and pour over ice. your friends will act repulsed and like you’re a total heathen until they try it themselves. best enjoyed on a porch (but a balcony or rooftop will do!)
