Everything is embarrassing anyways so just submit your writing somewhere people can maybe see it. This is my little horror vignette about a demonic possession in a Connecticut gas station! It's not at all perfect in my eyes, but it's also one of my favorite things I've done because it lives in the world and not just in a draft. And as a bonus I get to enjoy the design a cool editor invented to accompany my story and see it through their eyes on the page.

😄Woohoooooooo! I feel like i post a fair amount abt the writing process or getting involved in writing on here so it's nice to see the fruits of my labor. And be validated! 📖(excerpt from pending draft of my fantasy novel, "The Puppeteer")
I’d seen this before. At a smaller scale, sure, but the feeling was the same. Dread, like the ice cold water of a flood, rose up around people's feet. They sloshed through it, bearing the weight of their terror as their pantlegs absorbed the dark, metaphorical liquid. As buildings fell in the distance and the ground shook, the dread rippled through the crowds and splashed at their edges. Maybe that’s why I felt so numb. This wasn’t new to me. A surprise maybe, but nothing I hadn’t experienced before. It’s not that the events didn’t matter to me, it wasn’t even that they didn’t phase me, I just couldn’t get myself to panic the way I once had.
Everyone showed so much love for my last piece of writing I shared on here, so I figured I'd give a sneeze of something I wrote today that I really loved. If my writing interests you, I do have a newsletter you can sign up for on my profile :)

🔋I’m sick of feeling powerless so my new coping strategy is to not let a stupid system bully me into quiet despair. I’m learning how to use my state’s General Assembly’s online bill tracker and I’m subscribing to email updates for the agendas and the public hearings of the legislative committees I’m most concerned about. I’m memorizing all my legislators‘ names and emailing and calling regularly.
Also: Check to see if your state’s Legislative Library has Libguides that explain in layman’s terms what bills are passing in your state and other educational/legislative resources you have freely available to you!!!
