They encapsulated the eroticism so well. The vampires depicted in Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970). The vampires from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I believe they got close to the stereotypical repugnant aspect of being a vampire and I feel like not many pieces of media do this. It’s all about being sensual nowadays but I enjoyed this take and I thought it was funny at times. The vampires from Twilight. The fact that Robert Pattinson kind of hated it made it even funnier. You cannot ignore this one. They set the precedent for iconic love triangles in media in the 2010’s and they reflected very well how camp a vampire would be. Aaliyah in Queen of the Damned. I liked how she was just pure evil. So iconic. I didn’t love the movie but her image will stay with me. She was carrying.

this movie brings a new take on the concept of vampire movies. a (sort of pretentious) philosophy student gets bitten and reflects on her vampirism in a way similar to someone with a drug problem. i put off watching it for waaaay to long. dont be like me, watch it NOW!
