this was taught to me (unfortunately, who knows) from a dude in the army - he said they were trained to imagine the word "SLEEP", like visual training for their brain to shut off. You close your eyes, imagine the letters "S-L-E-E-P" flickering together, like lights in front of you (neon/exit sign whatever). Focus on that visual image. Think of nothing else.
This still knocks me out. Idk about waking up on time, maybe set multiple alarms and have them be the same ringtone as a phone call? That's what works on me.
