let’s face it social media is dead.
create your own corners of the internet! to code is to world build.
i coded and designed my own blog two years ago (it’s linked if you want to take a look at it)
it’s full of my thoughts, music, art, literally everything i love.
i lowkey abandoned it (school was beating my ass but we move)
i’m coming back to it because doesn’t require that i adhere to algorithms or trends.
it’s authentic. it’s feels true to me. it feels like home
even if u don’t code, start off with pinterest, are.na, substack
i feel like the internet can be used to connect us maybe just not in traditional ways like social media.

Yer right I started to make a page on NC, I kept it on standby until I manage to find time to code it completly, but in the meantime I am working on a strawpage. I'll use it to post stuff that I like, promote my music or some friends projects, etc.

afnailon yes yes yes to posting friends work! i love the idea of building community outside of social media but keeping it digital. still working on how to integrate that idea into my blog cause it just feels like im on my own island which i like but i just need to find balance lmao

Coding a Personal homepage with myspace-level html/css knowledge
I think it’s becoming more common of a hobby with the advent of Neocities but still obscured by the shadow of social apps. Unlike apps, the only limit to expressing yourself is your own imagination 🥹

i went down south to my grandparents recently and i’ve gained a new appreciation for still water.
