don’t get down on yourself for ruminating especially if you are still able to work towards your goals on a daily basis because anything in your head can stay totally private no one will ever know and you will reach the natural conclusion of a fixation totally SANS EFFORT

Yapped too much at work and feeling very embarrassed very self-indulgent very like everybody must think I’m annoying so I’m instead trying to think about not thinking about it. Like I know it’s in the past now it happened and I can’t unsay every fkin thing I let fly out of my mouth and instead of letting that loop endlessly in my mind I can think about how hard I’m trying not to think about it, like a little Sisyphus in my brain pushing those thoughts away and all I focus on is the pressure between his hands and the stone.

all you need is like 1-2 pages of text on paper, sometimes less. works every time. i used to swear by fiction but lately i’ve been reading a lot of “hard books” for example Concerning the spiritual in art by wassily kandinsky and Memories dreams reflections by carl jung and i think these work even better for sleepiness in the way they make me feel too stupid to be awake. blue light from the phone/laptop etc will kill you
