sofia coppola’s niece, very similar stylistically. Palo Alto is one of my favorite films ever. kind of a “no plot just vibes” type beat if you’re into that. she also has a new movie coming soon starring Pamela Anderson that i’m very excited about ✨
i love this bimbo ass movie. sophia singlehandedly keeps the tumblr girl aesthetic alive. it‘s disgusting how she’s able to capture the freakish level of nostalgia that only a 15 year old girl can feel while presenting a seemingly pretty shallow movie. it loves how deeply moving aesthetics can be. the story doesn’t matter too much it’s more about the indie soundtrack and the sexy actors and each shot making you want run away from this hideous world and move into that one. maybe i’m just always going to be an escapist but i think sophia coppola is enabling girls like me.
