Favorite artist that combines electronic with downtempo with just beautiful sounds. Perfect for when you need to calm your brain or dance. Shinichi (aka Bot1500) is the kindest person. He let me use his track “chartreuse 8” in a short video I made. Listen to his music fr. Discovered through friend Tate’s mix (s/o Aura Smudge on Orange Radio). - Ari

This is my favorite YouTube channel out there. I could listen and I have been listening to this for hours— absolutely enchanting, jubilant music.

I listen to this for a mental reset / getting back in my body. Uplifting but calming and strange.

Lullatone is like lo-fi chill beats with an actual soul. Made by an American long relocated to Japan named Shawn James Seymour, alongside his wife Yoshimi Tomida and sometimes their children as well, it’s the perfect ambient music. Go deep into the archives. Lullatone, please let me move into your music studio.

Honestly, you need to know how bad it can get for you to enjoy what you have. It’s been a tough year, and with all this pain came a lot of growth. Thank God for growth I guess. - Jack

grateful for the archive as everything becomes edited erased and forgotten in real time there’s remnants of the past here alive and reduced to files. favorite recent find has been this handbook for the chateau marmont from 1996 with writing by william faulkner, eve babitz, and mike davis. make sure to search the metadata.  edit: since i wrote this archive.org has unfortunately been shut down so here’s some ashwagandha supplements i been vibing with lately - Jay

Journaling saves my life on a daily basis. Being able to become present after a long hectic day or even just taking time to recount a beautiful day is really grounding to me. It’s so insane to be able to look back at a journal from three years ago and feel exactly how you / your world around you felt at that time. Also, a great alternative to social media. - Jack
