this movie isn’t perfect, but it’s an effective little folk-horror and it has the coolest monster design i’ve ever seen in a horror movie.

unchienandalusia I believe it's by Adam Neville. The movie follows the first part of the book pretty closely, then veers off into a direction that I personally found much more interesting than the route the book took. Worth the read, but I'd rewatch the movie before I'd reread the book

one of the few movies in recent memory that is legitimately freaky and bone-chilling. again this falls into the more moody/atmospheric horror. wouldn’t recommend if you really hate puppets.

i love this movie because it’s able to blend bombastic, cheesy 80s horror with actual gothic vampire lore in a unique setting. chris sarandon is also a really great villain in this and there’s also quality vampire makeup.

if you’re a wikipedia addict like me and you like going down internet rabbit-holes, this is a cool website that will take you to random old websites that haven’t been updated in a while.
mostly it‘s a lot of old personal websites and blogs which makes it a really nice time capsule from before the internet died.
