Lilly Sabri's 5 min warmup video delivers it's promise. A very good and quick way to get your body exercise ready. Personally, I add a few climbing & me specific exercises to make sure I definitely won't get injured but as long as I do everything that is in the video Im gucci.

cucaraccccha okay so you def want to do a full warmup bc climbing is a fullbody sport!! You can just do the video linked and really make sure you get your heartrate up. Additionally I do some shoulder and chest (and sometimes hip) warmups. And at the very end I go to the hangboard. I slowly build up my time on the hangboard til I feel comfortable carrying my bodyweight and then usually do a pullup (or several if I am feeling strong).

jahnneke I always feel like warming up on the wall sorta works when toproping/leadclimbing but with bouldering I /need/ to do a proper warmup.

jahnneke a great way to warmup your chest could be by doing pushups btw. Just like 10-15, knee pushups is fine. Its all about getting that blood flowing.

All standing, low impact with simple movements, and the instructor has great enthusiasm. He mixes in helpful, motivational ideas. I’ve done this so many times I’ve almost memorized everything he says lol
If it feels too easy, I add weights or extend the exercises.
I’ve never wanted to exercise, and this one makes me happy to have done it.

I unsubscribed for a while because my puppy was attacking me every time I would exercise so I resigned myself to a sedentary lifestyle but I think soon it will be time to get back on the horse. She offers Pilates, barr, yoga, standing counter workouts, pre/peri/postnatal workouts and dance workouts from herself and several other instructors. There are a lot of videos that use resistance bands, Pilates balls, Pilates circles and ankle/wrist weights too. Try the linked video to get a feel for her style!! Before I signed up for her membership I would just do her free videos on YouTube! I should do this workout right now honestly… 🤧 (edit I did it and it’s crazy how different I feel) I love her because she doesn’t talk about the visual results her workouts will help you achieve but about how good it feels to exercise for your mental and physical health!!! She offers meditations too!
I would also recommend 30-day yoga challenges from Yoga with Adriene or Travis Eliot both will really whip you into shape and help you build foundational strength.
I recommend Ballet Beautiful with Mary Helen Bowers if you hate yourself and want a cold waspish ballerina to punish you humble you and nearly kill you. It’s extremely challenging but rewarding.

As y'all might know, I'm a climber. Which is fun, cute, sexy and I recommend everyone to become one. Only downside is that it's def a male dominated sport. There's plenty of girls who climb, but a large majority (in our gym) is male. Meaning that the likelihood of going on an outdoor climbing trip without men.. is small. Unless, of course, you organise a girls-only climbing trip. I would highly recommend doing so. Men r great but it's also nice to only be surrounded by girls who know what's it like to climb when you have a menstrual cycle and don't have a natural knack for dynamic power. Made me feel supported, seen and connected.
