Take a moment to sonder.
Watching others experience life and go about their day.
Coffee or wine in one hand, cigarette in the other - it’s amazing.

I love standing on my front porch and just watching the world go by and my neighbour just stops on the street and watches everything like hands behind back clasped watching construction or a plane We seriously need to stop more! And breathe and watch and live and learn! Sit on the stoop bitch on the steps on the curb in a tree!

Honestly, that's a more consistent go-to with visitors than any restaurant. Sometimes we grab sushi on the way. Or pack our own little picnic.
More than once I brought a little backpacking stove and heated water and made delicious pour-over coffee.
The art of conversation while reclining on a picnic blanket and propped up by own elbow may take a lifetime to master. I'm here for the challenge.

If you played an instrument when younger, I 100% recommend owning it when you’re older.
I took Flute lessons all my school years and stopped after graduating.
Now I’m older, I‘m really grateful for them. Also, appreciate the instrument much more without the pressure to learn and progress.
Musical instruments are incredible hobbies, gorgeous, and it’s never too late to start learning !!

I hope i am not alone in witnessing this, i feel that August came and change is hitting people like a truck. Almost an immediate wave of transformation and I am witnessing this mainly in relationships? massive break ups and major relationship changes all happening at once but to different people. People that don’t know eachother, or friends of coworkers. Also! Comments like “all the baddies are single right now” appearing, it’s being talked about jokingly but not as a topic of discussion amongst people. I hope August can be kind to these people, and if you’re going through something similar - relationship break up and life changing events - know that you aren’t alone in experiencing this period of dramatic change and transformation. a period of growth and change for the better. It’s happening to a lot of people, this change will have meaning to you and re-visit the independent nature of the human experience, exploring life acknowledging independence. I believe it’s important to experience and be okay with alone time. it’s a skill to love yourself, by yourself and prioritise your human experience. live for you. Not through or alongside or with others all the time. I feel like everything is going to be okay.
Time will tell.
