🍟lets set the scene. sitting adjacent to the back of me at a resturant is a food critic. i do not know this information yet. my partner peers over my shoulder and types into the phone to tell me his musings that the man back of me is a food critic. hes been writing notes with a fountain pen in a red notebook my partner notes.
we order polenta fires- dont know what thats going to look like but it sounds yum. a server comes up with fries and raises their eyebrows and we say "Yeah!" (cause fries ??? and we ordered polenta fries..) and absolutely go at it. I'm like this just tastes like regular 'ol fries but i say nothing, my partner keeps eating without comment too. I pull out a rather long fry and go "haha this is a long fry" and thats the most we comment on it.
Few minutes later, half the bowl is gone and we hear "Yeah we're so sorry one of our servers ran the order to the wrong table" right as another server arrives to our table with- you guessed it - POLENTA FRIES.
Anton Ego man if youre reading this we ate your fries i didnt know if i should have offerd you the remaining half of our bowl but anton ego, dear ego we ate it all. It was really good and the polenta fries too- we ate it

🍠reg fries are awesome in a way that is reliable and constant. but once in a while i‘ll have a sweet potato fry that completely and absolutely changes who i am for like a month
