ever since iāve deleted social media, youtube has been my everything like i cannot lie
as a child of the internet, ive always been on youtube but i have a deeper appreciation for it now
thank you to the random people who upload concerts, speeches, and old movies that were otherwise be inaccessible or impossible to find
where else can i find the making of do the right thing (1989), mos def at fat beats (1999), constantly rewatch mtvās downtown, watch dick gregory at the city club of cleveland, and listen to berry gordyās memoir FOR FREE??
and of course itās a lot of bs on youtube but you just have to use it right

I just watched āFace/Offā for the first time a few days ago and feel like Iāve filled a void in my life that I wasnāt even aware of. If you like a heavy dose of action in your comfort cinema, I highly recommend. Like most movies from the 90s, not everything has aged well but cast aside your modern judgments for a bit and just enjoy Nicolas Cage doing The Most.

šBetter food and beaches than the Cyclades islands most people flock to and less expensive overall. Thereās plenty for history buffs (Knossos Palace) and old town Chania is beautiful and romantic to walk around. I recommend renting a car to drive around and explore (just get an international drivers license before you leave) or else thereās public transit. The tavernas also give complimentary dessert and a shot of raki after dinner. This might be customary throughout the rest of Greece also, but the hospitality in Crete was outstanding. If this one big island isnāt enough for you, you can day trip to other smaller surrounding islands or little coastal fishing villages via ferry. 10/10 destination, seriously look into it
