I circulate various social scenes, like an electron doing figure eights around the subcultures du jour, curiously exposing myself to different value systems and philosophies. I am an individual. I donât feel like I have to agree with everyone in the room, nor they with me. Sometimes I donât even know what Iâm doing in the room? Just following my intuition. Iâm present. I try to be a good listener. I ask questions. I give myself permission to express myself freely without fear of judgement. IMO itâs fun to indulge in a bit of theatrics, change the air, keep things interesting! Have a laugh! Eccentrics are never bored but if you do feel like youâre getting drained or things get dicey you can hop back in the saddle and ride away!

It would be hypocritical from me to say i donât follow trends, quite the opposite some of them can really be interesting and i âfollowâ them but i have no desire to fit in.
Everyday i embrace my soul, my heart and my mind because it took me years to be the Me of today and as an individual itâs totally normal to be unique in my own way.
I am unapologetically myself, no matter how much âtroubleâ it gets me with people i donât care. To be put in a box just to fit in or follow the ârulesâ was never something that i tolerated nor could handle.
I value self reliance and resent depending on someone
I am selective when it comes to socialising because i prefer being alone than having small talk
I question everything to be convinced before i accept it or do it
I am assertive, i express my needs, opinions and boundaries even if it means leading to a conflict with someone
I dont care about social pressure, i believe anyone can achieve anything at any age
I donât care about approval
I am always open to learn new stuff and never afraid to be seen as âuneducatedâ during the process
I donât wanna copy.
I am me, if i wanna read a kidâa book i will, if i wanna paint a tomato i will, if i wanna learn Russian i will, if i wanna wear a blazer with sweatpants because I think it looks good ON ME i WILL, me is ME and you is YOU.

iâve distanced my self so much from whatâs considered normal or traditional, honestly just to be a contrarian and live my niche kitschy life, but now iâm so used to being outside the norm, that now when i want to experience new/ different things, i do the most normal shit ever.
idk if itâs human nature, or just the beauty of life in general, but this experience has truly shown me that i can really be anything i want.

Who are you when you arenât acting the way your friends expect you to? Free from that possibly subconscious pressure what do you do? You canât exist in a vacuum because we are human beings and socially conditioned (not always a bad thing!) but you can get close when you change up your situation. Observe yourself closely.. where is the divergence between what you think of yourself and what you actually do? Would you have done the same thing in front of your friends? Your parents? Personally I am wildly different with my family, friends, and alone. I like the solo version of myself the best, so I try to spend as much time with him as possible.
This isnât to say that who you are with others isnât who you are, thatâs an important part of you too!! But if youâre looking to understand yourself as an individual then you need to understand as many aspects as you can. Most people do not do activities alone so I think it is a great place to start.
