I know that you would want people to download the app, but I don’t think it should be at the expense of the quality displayed on the website. Unfortunately, that’s my favorite way to post. But it has been so glitchy as of late 😞

I like the glitches. Not everything has to work perfectly all the time.

The PI team works hard. They’re humans. They don’t overlord a pit of sweaty underslept software engineers and measure their bathroom breaks. The app stalls upon opening notifs, almost as if a cosmic force is saying “it’ll be there later you’re supposed to be studying anyway”. The perfection we’re used to from other massive apps is the product of a precision engineered psycho-weapon designed to collect data from you and slam ads down ur throat PI is the opposite, it’s flawed and quirky like the people who use it. this is opposed to the bots and AI that make up the majority of other SM sites you could almost say the app is perfect, in an imperfect way.

as a sw engineer, i actually enjoy seeing the bugs, changes, and feedback being asked of by users on here. the jankiness of some features before it’s fixed is kinda heartwarming, because i can tell a small group of people are supporting the maintenance of the site and app.
