This is one of my favorite fiction podcasts & it's from the creators of Welcome to Night Vale! Each season takes a different form of "found audio" and explores a different part of the same alternate universe, so you can start piecing together information about the shared world they are set in. I won't spoil too much, but some of the characters connect as well. The first season is in the form of hospital relaxation tapes, then later seasons move to museum audio guides, voicemails, etc. SUPER interesting but also calming to listen to. The museum audio guide is my favorite, because the writers basically created their own art history for this alternate universe that was influenced by the universe's historical events. It gives a lot more context for the world we were introduced to in Season 1. This podcast completely expanded my view of how stories can be told; cannot recommend it enough!!

My friend from uni hooked me on audio fiction, it’s basically a show but only audio but also really different and COOL. I didn’t realize that I had come accross the genre years ago with Welcome to Nightvale, which is a fun/creepy/sleepy/nonsensical show but now that I’m properly introduced to it IM SO INTO IT!!!! I really recommend Midnight Burger, it’s a science fiction story and it’s SO MUCH FUN, and Im bad at selling all of this but please give it a try!!

This is the kind of show that I feel like I've always wanted. The storytelling is pretty top-notch and has the feel of those late-night "unexplained" shows that you'd stumble upon as a kid. It genuinely feels like sitting around a campfire, listening to a stranger tell you the most hair-raising story you've ever heard. I recommend starting with Episode 64: The Shed.

Welcome to Night Vale is a podcast that came out in like 2012 but they’re still running strong with biweekly uploads and trust me it is the most eerie but enthralling podcast. I have been listening for years at random but I am just now starting from the beginning and going in order hehe.

I love doing collages, cuz all you really need are magazine cutouts and glue. There's a very low barrier to entry, skill-wise AND supply-wise, unlike painting. Digital collages are fun too, but I try to have less screentime by doing the paper ones. If I want to re-use pieces instead of gluing them down permanently, sometimes I'll just take a picture of the current arrangement to immortalize it, and then start over on a new composition. That way, I don't have to constantly buy new magazines to get new cutouts. This is one of my favorite ones I've done so far:

This is the only thing that keeps me sane at work. It's so slow right now. If anyone is wondering why I've posted like 9 times today.

I used to look at it as a kid and feel transported into it. And then one day I was in the National Gallery in DC & I turned the corner and the physical original was right there !! FAUVISM FTW !!
