I just came across this album today and listened to it all the way through. I apparently had one song saved from it (I have a bad habit of saving songs I like that I come across but forgetting to listen to the whole album) and really liked the song yet again lol. However, the entire album start to finish really blew me away. The best way I can describe it is like punkish math folk. I think that if you like mannequin pussy you would like this album a lot. I just have to gush about it because I really really loved it. Also the band name is so clever lol

I had the opening track to this album saved and I recently rediscovered it and then listened to the whole record and it’s beautiful. The band is based out of Nashville and they have this like country folk Midwest emo punk mix sound going on that I can’t really describe but I absolutely loved this album and the album cover is so fun

def a special case since this is the band I used to manage, but this album was part of a huge turning point in my life. the band is a few friends I went to college with and ended up moving in with my junior year. I knew them from their early days playing shows around NYC and slowly adding new songs to the set list, and by the time we lived together they had the whole album written. I was basically the Frankie Jonas to their Jonas Brothers until they decided they wanted to finally put their years of work out into the world and asked me to be their manager. working with them was my first experience in that kind of role and led to me pursuing it as a career, which I’m currently in grad school for. genuinely love this album musically tho, it’s rough around the edges as it was produced before and during the pandemic and was a mishmash of studio recording and DIY stuff we threw together in our living room, but I think it adds to the charm. if you’re into indie rock with emo lyrics and noisy shoegazy type guitars def give it a listen. the songwriting is super personal to the vocalist and knowing her life outside of the album and what went into the songs makes it that much more meaningful. every time I listen to this album it takes me back to having just graduated, not knowing what I was doing with my life, but knowing that I got so much fulfillment out of putting music into the world and unknowingly stumbling into figuring out what I did want to do with my life. wouldn’t be where I am now had I not been a part of making this album happen

found out about this one from my twitter oomfs when it released a few weeks back and ive been OBSESSED. super catchy cathartic uk emo, every song on this ep is an absolute banger. the riffs are awesome, the drums are powerful, the harmonies are huge, just lovelovelovelovelove. almost like an angsty, anthemic algernon cadwallader. super duper jealous they’re across the atlantic but as soon as they find their way to the states i will be doing everything in my power to see them. HIGHLY recommend, t_failz EOTY.

I took it in a canon rebel g that I was lucky enough to find at an estate sale for about $20 and it’s by far my favorite pic I’ve ever taken! I think the film is like fujifilm ISO 400 or something idk but I love the colors it brings out
