I’m fascinated by the hustler mindset of all parties involved, including the patrons who show up for a free app in exchange for their undivided ear. I’d prob never go myself, (never say never though) that sounds like hell, but I’d love a short story based around the characters who make such an event happen

inconveniences Resulting in free food

Blood curdling, high pitched ringing flooded the trendy dumpling spot today. “The speakers are already off!” the wait staff hush-screamed at each other. Lasted for about 10 minutes. I got used to it after 3 min. Shrimp and pork dumplings on the house for our troubles. Tbh I’d take 10 min of discomfort in exchange for a free small plate every time I go out

40-60 year old people get laid off daily after 15+ years in an industry and have to restart. You’re too young to even know life’s all about restarting and it’s all relative. Fall in love with the process of learning and it’ll never be scary. You might even end up loving what you pivot too. You’ll be fine.
