With most of the city being gone last year, I picked up the confidence to bike in Manhattan for the first time with a Citibike subscription. The convenience of going wherever you like, the lack of bike commitment, and the option to go electric over the bridge have been life-changing. Iāve also gotten myself a Bluetooth JBL speaker, that all my friends have rinsed and judged me for. Honestly, itās safer than wearing headphones, and Iām having a terrific time listening to 1PLIKĆ140. The only thing I'm missing is this in matte infrared.

Was down yesterday; decided I had to break out. Rode my bike to Coney Island as the sun set. I had to suit up for the coldāin NYC theres no snow or ice yet so it was possibleāthermals and puffer. I remembered on the ride that Iām so sick like the coolest. I hadnāt rode my bike out to Coney since I was a teenager.
The return night ride along the belt parkway I passed only three other people just striding by the Narrows. To my rightāhundreds of car headlights pointed to the airport. It like forced me to give myself some credit.

I was getting off the train and this guy noticed my Van Halen sleeveless tee and was like ācool tank top dude I love Van Halen.ā And I was like āthanks man.ā And then he was like ādo you like Extreme?ā (he was wearing a shirt from a band called Extreme). And I said āIām not too familiar with their music.ā And he was like ādude you gotta go listen to their new album, itās SICK.ā And I said āthanks for the rec manā and we fist bumped and it was wholesome. Anyways I got home and listened to Extreme and it wasnāt really my thing.

In a solo jamming context I think time-based effects yield the most fun per pedal. With a setup like this you can build a world.
