For music production nerds out there
In Logic Pro X the BPM will auto reset to 5 if you do this. I loaded up a project with samples of orchestral arrangements and drum loops - everything breaths and comes out of the speakers and headphones in thickness and separation, you can feel the space between each note and the funk/groove melt within your ears. simply put you can chop and screw/slow and throw entire groups of strings or basses or vocals to very cinematic effect
If you want to get demented you can add automation for volume or tempo changes

i usually just whack everything up then slow down as i add loops or samples but this is probably the more logical move

don’t you wish for your music to mirror breath, journey and return, a natural pace. do you want to hear a song and imagine boxes in a project file? nah…

If you don’t have a DAW like Ableton you can use Audacity, an open source music software, to slow down time. Audacity comes with an effect called Paulstretch, named after an old program called Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch that was used to make this iconic YouTube video. It allows you to slow down audio files by inordinate amounts, turning silly little love songs into monumental drone landscapes. You can discover hidden melodies buried in the waveform and imagine life outside of time.
