i’m working on a new live set and instrumental solo guitar record, so i’ve been revisiting the last time i made a record with no words. it’s kinda manic and all over the place, with mellow lap steel, oozy shoegaze textures, impromptu shreds you should check it out
(also the only non-guitar sound on the record is a sample of chris tucker from fifth element, because why not 🤪)

i’m really proud of this record, it has some of my favorite sounds i’ve ever captured on it. i like to think i’m just a goofy guitar goon but this record became more serious than i expected it to be. last year some old wounds were opened up and everything fell out. while writing these songs, i spent a lot of time driving back and forth across the city. after living in over 20 addresses, i feel like my relationship with LA is complex and strange - being surrounded by the past while trying to be present, especially when both can be painful, sad, and confusing. sometimes reality becomes impossible to escape, and everything becomes a search for an answer or an exit.

no backing tracks! i don’t know if this is this is stupid but i really wanted to be able to play an entire show alone with no backing tracks. i’m going to release a new EP sometime soon and i‘m planning to start doing live performances to promote my music, so i’ve been rehearsing a lot.

so after years of working as a musician for other people, i decided to put out my own album - and it just came out at midnight last night!
i would usually self-deprecate in a situation like this for a whole slew of self-preservation purposes but i think i’m just gonna try to be normal for a sec so uhhhhh
