picking up a new craft hobby as an adult is so healing. a few months ago, my gateway craft was learning how to crochet, and now I'm making fridge magnets out of air dry clay and turning old tshirts into baskets for my new apartment and life feels so whimsical and wonderful

^^This is spot on I’ve started making my own beaded shirts. Now has it taken me 6 weeks and I haven’t even completed one olive…yes, but I digress. I love having adult money so I can spend it funding fun little hobbies!

Fiber arts!
Knitting and crochet, especially, are great ways to get crafty while being practical because you can make so many things for yourself and loved ones instead of buying them: clothes, beanies, bags, blankets, pet accessories, toys & stuffed animals, etc. I’ve crocheted a lot of things for myself and friends, but I need to learn to knit so I can make sweaters and socks.

i’m currently embroidering a sweatshirt, and all of my christmas ornaments that i gifted were embroidered felt. i also got really into weaving a while ago and wove myself a belt out of yarn, and i am back into crocheting as well. and my mum requested i make her a macrame plant hanger so i guess i’m doing macrame now. I LOVE FIBRE ARTS

A piece of ribbon
I imagine a piece of ribbon being carried by the wind.
seemingly delicate, but strong when facing pressure. can falter without proper support (knot). a resounding eagerness to make others happy (gifts, compliments). rings of happy memories from holidays. longs for the girlhood of me, my mother, and my grandmother - to be tied around their hair just one more time.
