i’m currently embroidering a sweatshirt, and all of my christmas ornaments that i gifted were embroidered felt. i also got really into weaving a while ago and wove myself a belt out of yarn, and i am back into crocheting as well. and my mum requested i make her a macrame plant hanger so i guess i’m doing macrame now. I LOVE FIBRE ARTS

Fiber arts!

Knitting and crochet, especially, are great ways to get crafty while being practical because you can make so many things for yourself and loved ones instead of buying them: clothes, beanies, bags, blankets, pet accessories, toys & stuffed animals, etc. I’ve crocheted a lot of things for myself and friends, but I need to learn to knit so I can make sweaters and socks.

VISIBLE MENDING

update on some projects as I’ve been teaching myself to mend my socks and sweaters for some cool zombie flair. I once said that it doesn’t matter how messy it is because it’ll just look more fungal and it turns out, you do want to be a little precise with weaving under and over the warp threads so you don’t make odd straight lines.
thinking I’ll jazz up a boring mass-produced sweater my partner doesn’t wear anymore with some embroidery next!
