when i have a creative block sometimes ill just throw shit at the wall until it works for me.

This lacks any of the finesse i normally put into my work but here we have images and the sensory emotional attachment they have (memories and the like) that are so hard to capture clearly.   Like the images behind closed eyes. Liminal. So clear in your mind but impossible to concisely describe. Somewhere between eye floaties and your sleep paralysis demon. charcoal. bees wax. pages from an old german book. painters tape. wooden board.

being awoken from a dream with an idea for art

Although rare, I love waking up with a burning urge to recreate something that came to me in a dream. The rush to write it down before the details fade, the hurried sketch to try and capture the essence of its subconscious form. Truly a high unlike any other, the raw and unfiltered desire to create.
