Rec'd on 😭 6/20: WHAT SONG MAKES U CRY EVERY TIME

I've never gone through a situation like that but the production and lyrics make me feel the same level of dread and anxiety that the subject of the song must be feeling. It's also the only song that makes me cry due to negative feelings that were sparked besides sadness. The one that makes me feel so hopeful, it brings me to tears, is We'll Know Come Morning by Toulouse.

lyrics that give me goosebumps: "even the iron still fears the rot" "and i spend my life watching it go by from the sidelines" the beginning part of "perverts" when the choir is singing the distorted version of "nearer my god to thee" the violin crescendo at the end of "sunbleached flies" when she sings "if its meant to be then it will be"

i will forever suggest ethel cain

never in my life have i had such an artist make me feel so seen. never in my life have i had such an artist capture exactly what i feel and turn it into sounds and poetry that calm the raging storm inside my mind rather than make it worse. her music (specifically sun bleached flies and televangelism) make me cry happy tears every single listen without fail. if you want to be transcended above this earthly realm into something otherworldly, do yourself a favor and listen to ethel cain<33
