Its Summer. i know I will sweat, and I will scrunch my eyes , and I will eat food. these days I try to do my makeup so that it ages well - soft, blurry undereyeliner that will travel and smudge in a way that looks intentionally grungy, lip products that either stain well or look good faded. You get the idea. You shouldn’t have to spend the day wondering whether your makeup has started to look weird, or have to reapply your face every couple of hours is all I’m saying.

💋I like my makeup splotchy, a little chaotic, and smudged to perfection. I want it to look like I just made out with someone and/or just had a good cry. Once I’ve smeared enough colors around, I usually add touches of glitter to tie the look together.

🍅Gazpacho only in the late summer, persimmons only in the winter, etc. just because we can import anything from anywhere anytime doesn’t mean we should. Nothing is special if you can have it whenever you want it.
