But also actual couples therapy if you need it. I’m obsessed with this show. I love seeing people work through their issues (or not). I’m fascinated how Dr. Orna guides the process. I’m a therapist but this is not my forte at all and I am fascinated!

Big fan of how this show is reintroducing therapy speak into my life and is actually bringing back to center how I might greatly benefit from going back to the ol' psychoanalysis couch. The show is raw and vulnerable to the point of discomfort. I feel myself queasy at the reflection of some of my own behaviors playing back at me through another person. Seeing this show makes me think all the more about how deeply relationships penetrate our lives. That our romantic partnerships can dig up pieces of what has hurt us in the past and sink them in even deeper. And through this vulnerability, we find that even though we might not have even known that these pieces that prick and cut us were there, they've actually been bleeding us dry all these years. It's terrifying!! Which makes me appreciate how brave loving actually is. How brave being open and honest is, and how deeply beautiful it is that despite how difficult, the human spirit finds a way to keep saying yes to the grand and eternal challenge of relationships. Love this show, highly recommend.

A groundbreaking reality show that will 100% force you to realize you, too, are constantly reenacting childhood family dynamics with your current partner. Watch with your husband to see how strong your marriage is.

I never believed in guilty pleasures before but my god, I think I found mine. I never really liked the idea of guilty pleasures because even bad media has something of value even if it's just an emotional comfort to a consumer. But this show. The storylines between the cast can be fucking ridiculous. Everyone is insufferable and sex-crazed. Everyone violates HIPPA throughout the show. I fucking hate this Cooper guy with a fucking passion. I don't know if Violet is just as bad as him (I started the show from season 3 just because), but I'm siding with her just because he's that fucking awful. The show is a trainwreck, but I'm enthusiastically watching it. P.S. That Gabriel Fife is really attractive and my buoyancy in this sea of craziness. Even though he, too, is a dick.

Humans have always danced. It is part of who we are, yet we have been conditioned to be self conscious, to think that we do not move our bodies good enough. Dancing is beyond judgement. Dancing is not a skill, it is our soul moving through our bodies, expressed in movement. Dancing is healing. Dancing is bodily autonomy. Dancing is FUN! Any feeling you are feeling can be moved through with dance yet even alone, you fear looking foolish. Kill the judge in your mind, shut the fuck up, and MOVE 🌊

In Tarot, The Fool is the first card in the Major Arcana, which represents the life cycle. These cycles we are continuously going through in our lives, not just once. The final card of the Major Arcana is The World (which I have tattooed very large on my thigh), which signifies the completion of a cycle and natural ascension into the next. We are then thrust back into the Fool, with a bit more wisdom. The Fool as an archetype is one of joy, curiosity, spontaneity, and trust.  The Fool is pure of heart, knowing that the Universe has got their back.  This innate trust allows The Fool to be playful, to take risks, and truly believe everything will work out.  The more we go through life and experience loss, grief, heartache, trauma, the harder it becomes to embrace this energy.  I’ve found that as healing goes on, just as it’s shown in tarot, we return to this natural state of being. We start off as The Fool when we are wee little babies, and if we are lucky can return there a few cycles at a time, with more wisdom gained each time.   The goal of The Fool is to have positive experiences, maybe for fun, maybe to grow. There is an acceptance with The Fool, a kind of “this is what is, how can I make this work well for me?” Everything works out for The Fool because they don’t know it can’t. Anything we go through in life, we can use to grow.  I personally believe we all could benefit embracing the archetypal energy of The Fool a bit more.  The Fool doesn’t stop to worry what other people will think!  The Fool does not fret about what if’s!  The Fool is in the moment!
