I’m trans so…there’s that (I hate my birth name), and when i first came out I didn’t have a name I wanted yet so my friends started calling me a nickname based on a joke and I’ve been called it by most people ever since but I really don’t like it and don’t think it fits me at all ✨John✨ is such a middle aged man name but I feel like people have been calling me it for too long for me to change it again. August is my name on a lot of socials I just need to get the courage to get people to call me it irl

🕷I've gone by so many nicknames that everybody thinks it odd to call me by my real name at all (some people even get it wrong), so I've accepted having different names from different people. I've always liked my name, especially since my mom put so much thought into it (even the fact it would make a good nick name), but unfortunately I feel like it no longer represents me. I've sorta outgrown it, so Im sorta looking for a new name. Either way the name that matters is the one you feel most aligned with.

🔍i have a name that has been fucked with and interpolated a lot (long story). i have had ideas since middle school to change my name to like Harley, use my middle name, or recently during a breakdown something closer to it with easier spelling. it got to the point where my psychiatry appointments are actually done in that fake name and i just chose not to tell them 😂
all this to say, my name has grown on me and i would feel uncomfortable to change it. BUT, i would never want to have my future children experience the annoyance of people mispronouncing their name for the rest of their lives.

My name is Annie (fully, not a nickname). It’s fine. As a kid I didn't like it because I was a “tomboy” and felt it was too girly. Does it really fit me? Idk. I’m not attached. The feedback I’ve most gotten is that it doesn’t. I have many nicknames anyway 🥰
