maristella umm 16 grams of finely ground espresso beans + sleepy morning brain mistakes. press lever on manual espresso machine, feel regret, fill rest of cup with hot water and smile through your tears as you sip your bitter swill

i love coffee but i used to make coffee so bad that my friends wouldn’t drink it if i offered to make them coffee 😭 until i got a job as a barista and got good at it but i totally lied in my interview and said i loved coffee and making it

My dad teases me about how when I was a little kid, my favorite thing to do when I was on the landline phone with somebody—be it a relative or one of my best friends—was to breathlessly describe the things that were in my bedroom so that they could have a mental picture of everything I loved and chose to surround myself with, and where I sat at that moment in time. Perfectly Imperfect reminds me of that so thanks for always listening and for sharing with me too 💌
