do you think getting the cover is worth it, like is the planner too fragile without it?? considering skipping the cover to save a few bucks but don't want to diminish the experience either

milkbags Yes, it's worth it. But you can definitely use the planner without a cover (you can also use a cover without the clear plastic cover-on-cover they sell). If I'm taking my planner with me in a small bag I'll take it out of the cover, in fact. However, I like the added functionality of pockets to keep scraps of paper in and ribbons to hold my place, as well as the cute polar bears. Nothing wrong with getting the planner and seeing how you like it, then getting a cover if one speaks to you and you feel you need it — that's what I did my first year. I'm an enormous Hobonichi fan so feel free to ask more questions, I'll sing their praises for all to hear

HOBONICHI WEEKLY PLANNER

im a freak when it comes to planning stuff out, and basically my entire day/week is written down, so a hobonichi weekly planner is like number one on my wishlist. they’re very fun to journal with, and decorate with stickers, highlights, and whatnot, along with being super handy for scheduling. (not my picture!)

HOBONICHI WEEKS

It's a good balance of pretty and practical - I use it daily at work just to check off tasks without getting bogged down by "too much planning". Otherwise dearly miss the Samsung Calendar widget, no longer in the ecosystem and the fact that you could put stickers on dates was life changing for me. + Editing this to also add Notion, again a digital tool but is another one that helps me stay on task!

Writing stuff down/using a planner

in the past i have been bad about keeping a schedule, so days off/holidays sneak up on me and it is hard to plan ahead. last year i committed to using a paper planner and it has been really nice to see the week/month ahead and also to be able to look back. sort of functions as a low-pressure scrapbook. i use one from marjolein delhaas. i have the orange but there are other colors.
